Announcement of the 2nd Joint PKU-Kyoto-TMS international Workshop
We are delighted to announce an upcoming international workshop on ‘Topological materials and Quantum materials’ to be held on September 25-28, 2018 in Beijing, China. This is the 2nd of the Joint PKU-Kyoto-TMS international workshop, hosted by the International Center for Quantum Materials (ICQM) at Peking University.
The joint PKU-Kyoto-TMS workshop series started in 2017, and have been supported by the International Center for Quantum Materials (ICQM) at Peking University, Kyoto University, and Japanese research funding for `topological material science (TMS)' (Japanese research Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas, MEXT, Japan). The first international workshop and school were successfully held in Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP) in Kyoto University on February of 2017. These yearly workshops provide an international platform for idea exchange and in-depth discussions on selected topics in condensed matter physics and quantum phenomena, and fostering collaborations amongst the workshop participants.
In this year’s PKU-Kyoto-TMS Workshop, in addition to the usual scientific program consisting of keynote and invited talks focusing on the topological states of matter, a lab tour in the ICQM will be arranged interested participants.
