- Molecular Beam Epitaxial (MBE) growth and characterization of quantum materials, metal and semiconductor thin films and nanostructures, including quantum dots, nanowires, etc.;
- Topological (crystalline) insulators;
- Topological superconductor and Majorana fermions;
