Majoranas in Solid State Workshop, June 3-7, Beijing University
On the occasion of '100 Years of Physics in Peking University', we are organizing an international workshop on 'Majoranas in Solid State'. The workshop will be held on June 3 to June 7, 2013, in Peking University, Beijing. The plan is to bring together active researchers from around the world to report and discuss the progresses in this emerging field.The workshop will cover many interesting aspects on both theory and experiments: topological phases of matters harboring Majorana particles, such as 5/2 fractional quantum Hall effect and topological superconductors (natural or engineered); building blocks of Majorana systems, such as superconductor/nanowire hybrids, 2D/3D topological insulators; new quantum materials, such as quantum anomalous Hall insulator, and so on. Talks will be of lecture style with end-of-the-talk discussions.
