The 4th Joint Workshop on Condensed Matter Science Peking University & Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research
2025-09-09
In quantum materials, the collective behavior of strongly interacting electrons gives rise to remarkable phenomena, ranging from high-temperature superconductivity and correlated topological states to the quantum Hall effect and exotic magnetism. Unlocking the mechanisms behind these effects is crucial for designing the next generation of functional materials and quantum devices.
This workshop will bring together leading scientists from Peking University, several Chinese institutes, the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, and the Technical University of Dresden to explore spectroscopy and microscopy of quantum matter, non-equilibrium phenomena and ultrafast dynamics, low-dimensional and topological materials, quantum transport in correlated systems, and many-body theory approaches to emergent phases. By fostering dialogue between experimentalists and theorists across these areas, the workshop aims to deepen our understanding of complex electronic behavior and catalyze new strategies for controlling quantum states of matter.
