US Department of Energy Delegation Visit ICQM
On June 17, 2016, a delegation of six people led by Cherry Murray, the director of the Office of Science, Department of Energy (DOE) of United States visit our center, dean of School of Physics, Xie, Xincheng, together with other faculties meet them in West Conference Room 563, Physics building.
At the meeting, Cherry Murray introduces the DOE and its affiliated National Laboratories and research system. In particular, the Office of Science, the funding structure and funding situations, and prominent scientific research projects of the ten National Laboratories overseen by the Office of Science. Xie, Xincheng introduces the history, disciplines and sub-institutions, and the hierarchy of faculties of the School of Physics at PKU.

Subsequently, professors Jiang, Ying and Lin, Xi, respectively, give a brief tour of their laboratories at ICQM to the delegation.

After visiting ICQM, the delegation also meet with the head of Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, professor Hu, Yongyun and three other faculties from the department,professor Zhang, Yanfeng from the Center for Nanochemistry , and professor Tang, Chao from the Center for Quantitative Biology etc.
