[Biography]

Jian Wang, Professor of Physics, Peking University. Jian Wang has been engaged in the experimental research of quantum transport measurement of low dimensional superconductors and topological materials, and has made a series of important original achievements with international influence. Such as the discovery of quantum Griffiths singularity and the detection of anomalous metallic state in two-dimensional superconducting systems; discovery of log-periodic quantum oscillation, representing the third known class of quantum oscillations after a nearly 90 year history of quantum oscillation measurements, etc.. Jian Wang completed supervision of 6 doctoral theses, 2 M. S. theses, and 3 postdoctoral fellows. Among his students, 2 have been selected as Excellent Doctoral Thesis of Peking University and 3 won the award of Excellent Doctoral Graduates of Beijing.
